【摘要】During the early stages of industrialization in China in the early 20th century, the rise of modern banks completely reshaped the landscape of the country's financial institutions. This study provides quantitative evidence from the perspective of the transportation revolution to understand the evolution of financial institutions. It delves into how modern banks, operating as transplanted financial institutions, effectively pursued mutual benefits alongside traditional local institutions (i.e., qianzhuang) in the expanded market created by railroad development.
【报告人简介】赵劲松，西南财经大学经济学院教授，博士生导师，研究方向为经济史、金融史。主持和参与国家社科、自然科学基金青年项目、重大项目和重点（国际合作）项目多项，入选四川省高层次人才计划。论文发表在《经济学（季刊）》《中国经济史研究》，Journal of International Money and Finance，International Review of Economics and Finance，Economic Modelling等国内外权威学术期刊。
