【摘要】The techniques of monotone comparative statics are extensively used in economic modeling. They are especially effective in analyzing problems where objective functions are not concave or differentiable or where choice domains are not continuous. In this lecture, I shall introduce basic concepts like the single crossing property and the interval dominance order and explain how these properties may be preserved in choice environments with uncertainty. Simple applications illustrating the use of these methods will be given. I shall also give a quick introduction to games with strategic complementarity.
