【摘要】We study how group size a ects co op er ation in an in nit ely rep eatedn-player Prisoner's Dilemma (PD) game. In each rep etition of the game, groups of sizen Mare randomly and anonymously match ed from a xed p opulation of sizeMto play then-player PD stage game. We provide conditions for which the contagious strategy (Kandori, 1992) sustains a so cial norm of co op eration among allMplayers . Our main nding is that if agents are su ciently patient, a so cial norm of so ciety-wide co op eration b ecomes easier to sustain under the contagious s trategy asn!M.
